30 West Luxury Housing Development and Parkland Library Fine Amnesty This Week in South Whitehall

Here's a look at the week ahead in South Whitehall.

• First day of fall sports begins Monday at Parkland High School.

• Fine Forgiveness Week begins Monday and extends through Saturday at Parkland Community Library. Return overdue items this week without incurring any fines. 

• The South Whitehall Township Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Elysium Acquistions LLC. will present a sketch plan for 30 West, a proposed development of 10 single-family homes on the unopened portion of North Marshall Street and N. 31st Street, between Washington and Tilghman streets in the West End.

• Night at the Movies at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Parkland Community Library.

• Dining to Donate from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Wednesday at Applebee's, 1510 Cedar Crest Blvd. When you present flyer (available at Parkland Community Library), the Friends of the Parkland Community Library receives 10 percent of the cost of your meal. All profits benefit the library. 

• Story and craft hour for kids from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Wegmans, 3900 Tilghman St., Allentown.

• Breakfast with a Smurf from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Wegmans.
