'Fitness Night' at Springhouse Middle School: Your Week

Springhouse Middle School is hosting the second of the Parkland School District’s Wellementary Family Fitness Nights Thursday in the school’s cafeteria. 

The program gets under way at 6:30 p.m. and will include nutritious food, physical activity and raffle prizes.

 This program will feature a healthy cooking demonstration, family zumba fun and the door prize will be an indoor fitness package.

Here is what else is going on in South Whitehall Township this week:

• Parkland School District public schools are closed Monday.

• The South Whitehall Township Public Safety Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the township building on Walbert Avenue.

• Local chiropractor, Dr. Corey Kirshner is offering his services for the day, Tuesday, in exchange for your food donation to the Community Food Pantry. Run by volunteers and funded by contributions, Jewish Family Service of the Lehigh Valley's Community Food Pantry services those in need regardless of religion. Please call 610-435-1777 to make an appointment. Dr. Kirshner specializes in the care of chronic pain and disease.

• The Parkland School Board meets to reorganize at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the administration building. The regular meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

• The South Whitehall Township Commissioners meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the township building on Walbert Avenue.

• Celtic Woman, that global sensation singing ensemble that seems to be on PBS all the time, visits the Sands Bethlehem Event Center for a holiday concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $79.50 and $60.
